The very successful Cake Stall is featuring at the Gala again this year. We have learnt lessons from the last gala. Our most popular items were iced chocolate and banana cakes. Individual items such as gingerbread men and decorated cupcakes were big sellers and were especially popular with the children.
The Cake Stall relies on everyone pitching in and helping by baking a cake, slice or biscuits to be sold on Gala day. In the week prior to the Gala all boys will be sent home with a cake plate and label to be returned with a homemade cake on the day before the Gala (Saturday 5th November) or on Gala Day at school. If you have chosen to make biscuits, cupcakes, slices let us know and we have other packaging methods available for you to use rather than the cake plate. We will have drop of points on the Saturday in Wellington and Lower Hutt if that works best for you.
If you would prefer to donate dried fruit, nuts, eggs, sugar and butter for our Christmas Cake bakers please contact Tanya.
We also need volunteers to help us sell the cakes on the day. You only need to be on the stall for 2 hours and that just flies by as we are busy and it is a fun atmosphere. Contact Tanya at loveard@xtra.co.nz or 4765380.
