This year we have some fun new events at the gala – including our teachers in detention ! Some come and join in – all for a good cause !
Teachers in Detention - Finally it is the kids turn !!
We suspect there will be a long queue for this one, we are just not sure who will be heading it - old boys, currently boys or the parents! But as some of our teachers take the stocks, come and throw a wet spone and see if you can land it squarely on their face. Oh and all these teachers volunteered!
Now is your opportunity to throw wet sponges at your favourite teacher’s (Mr Owen, Mr Girvan to name a few!). Various teachers will be up on detention awaiting your aim and are wiling to be soaked! In between times you can get your mums, dads or mates up on the stand and have a bit of fun soaking them. There are prizes to be won so come prepared to soak your teachers or be soaked yourself!

DIY Build a Bird House Competition
This is going to be run over the school holidays, winners announced on Gala day and then these beautiful creations will be up for sale. Condition of entry is that the Bird House has to be parent/guardian and son effort – lets get working together in a fun way. Oh did I mention that there are some GREAT prizes up for grabs.

How many Wellelsey boys will fit into a racing car?
Shaun is very generously (foolishly?) suggested we can use his racing car and have a competition to see just how many Wellesley boys can fit into it. Their will be restrictions on age and size of the boys enterting, and of course supervised. So, how many boys do you think can fit into this super fast car?

The Giant Jaffa Roll
We are going to be selling $1 tickets from the second week of Term 2 at school. $1 will buy you a numbered Jaffa. On Gala day, all these numbered Jaffas will be released in a controlled area with first Jaffa across the line winning $100 Rebel Sports voucher for its owner, second prize a $50 Rebel Sports voucher and third prize, well a box of Jaffa's of course!
